DAC recent events:
Launch of the new DAC Consulting Services website
When Daniel Correa founded DAC in 2016, the vision was simple: to provide clear, expert-driven solutions for complex engineering and construction claims and disputes. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working on major global projects and growing a strong network of clients and colleagues who trust us to deliver.
This website is more than just a digital presence—it’s a reflection of our journey, our commitment to excellence, and the incredible people who have supported us along the way. Huge thanks to our team, clients, and industry partners for believing in us.
Stathis Maliakis had the privilege of attending the 13th ICC MENA Conference and participating in ICC Institute of World Business Law Advanced Training on Oral Advocacy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, bringing together so many professionals and experts in International Arbitration!
Stathis Maliakis celebrated in January the achievements of the first batch of graduates from its Professional Diploma in International Arbitration, simultaneously marking the official launch of the diploma following its successful introduction in 2023.
DAC Consulting Services thoroughly enjoyed participating in Global Arbitration Review GAR Live: Damages 2025 in London. The conference brought together leading international names in the arbitration community to discuss the latest developments in damages calculations of international arbitration disputes. And it is always good to catch up with so many clients and co-workers was wonderful.
Daniel Correa had a wonderful day attending the third Eversheds Sutherland Construction and Engineering Conference Global Construction and Engineering Conference at the end of March.
Key takeaways included the growing push for collaborative contracting models to manage risk in uncertain markets, the increasing influence of ESG criteria on project finance and delivery, and the evolving role of AI in both project execution and dispute resolution. Particularly insightful were the discussions around navigating supply chain volatility and the legal implications of emerging energy transition technologies.
I brought a point which was "Culture". In order to manage risks, claims and disputes in a Project, everyone should learn the culture of the given location and understand it (especially in un-controlled environments i.e. non PRINCE2).
We're hoping to see some familiar faces at these events !!

"The power station, a converted coal plant in north Yorkshire, generates about 5% of the UK's electricity and has received billions of pounds from the government and bill-payers because wood pellets are classed as a source of renewable energy."
"Best Practices for Selecting the Right Dispute Board for Construction Projects under the FIDIC Contracts"Interesting article by Schellenberg Wittmer on dispute boards in construction
Interesting article by DWF (Middle East). Here our technical views:
1- Engineering-Driven Analysis for Suspension and Termination: our expertise bridges technical engineering assessments with the legal provisions of the KSA Civil Law. This ensures that decisions regarding suspension and termination are underpinned by accurate evaluations of project performance, delays, and breaches.
2- Technical Insight for Risk Mitigation: by leveraging forensic engineering and delay analysis, we provide critical technical evidence to support or contest claims under key articles such as 114 (suspension) and 466 (termination). This expertise strengthens risk management and dispute resolution strategies.
3- Integrated Approach to Disputes: combining technical engineering expertise with a deep understanding of the KSA Civil Law, we offer comprehensive guidance on managing complex construction disputes. Our approach ensures legal compliance while addressing technical project challenges effectively.
