SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER, UK

Senior Mechanical and Forensic Engineer leading expert witness investigations in specific disputes and complex equipment claims on behalf of DAC. His investigations have included equipment such as turbines, motors, generators, piping, between others.

 

Has been appointed to perform Forensic Engineering investigations on the failure of Mechanical Equipment, including Root Cause Analysis, and Reinstatement Assessment for Insurers and Lawyers in various applications.



Has been appointed as an Expert Witness in a dispute regarding the failures of a pipe test rig in the UK, for an ICC arbitration, and has been appointed as technical expert in various complex insurance claims related to turbine, boiler, and piping damages.

 

He is a qualified and highly experienced Design Engineer as well as board member in well-known and established engineering companies. Experienced in Project Management, Project Engineering, Piping Design including Stress & Materials and Packaged Equipment Specification.

 

Familiar with the design, including all major codes, for piping, pipelines, boilers, pressure vessels, valves, topsides equipment and swivel stack assemblies, with a detailed expert level of knowledge of all types of turret mooring systems (internal, external and dis-connectable) and also CALM buoys.

 

Good understanding of the law with respect to Contract & Tort within the English and European Legal systems and gained a degree in English law in 2007 with the Open University. Familiar with employment law in England and Wales and the associated obligations on an employer.

 

Currently studying international arbitration law with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
